About Us

    Welcome to the RHRA!

    Welcome to the Rochester Human Resources Association (RHRA) website! RHRA is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management, the largest professional Human Resource organization in the world.

    National SHRM Members

    As a nationally-affiliated SHRM chapter, we are required to maintain a minimum number of National SHRM members. If you are a National SHRM member please contact Sandy Feehan, our Membership Director, to get added to our roster. There are also no minimum attendance requirements for National SHRM members. We encourage you to attend the programs that best suit your needs and interests.

    Chapter Meetings:

    • Typically held the third Wednesday of each month, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Any changes in dates or times will be found under the Meetings & Events page.
    • Currently, all of our meetings are being held in a virtual format at no cost to members. Hopefully in the near future, we can resume in-person meetings and more information will be provided once that happens.

    Board Meetings:

    • Typically the first Wednesday of every month.

    Corporate Sponsors:

    Our meetings are a great opportunity to connect with the HR community in this area.  HR business partners - vendors, suppliers, consultants and local community businesses - are all invited to sponsor any of the monthly programs throughout the year.  For $200 it’s an excellent, low-cost opportunity to build relationships with your target audience and directly market your services to local decision-makers and consumers of HR-related products and services.

    Monthly programs are 1-hr in length and attract an average of 35 attendees. There are 10 programs a year. The $200 offsets the cost of the facility, food and beverage, and speaker fees. The sponsorship package includes:

    • Recognition of sponsorship within the chapter emails and social media messages promoting the event;
    • Exhibit table at the event;
    • Promotional materials distributed/displayed at the meeting (must be prepared by the sponsor);
    • Introduction as the Program Sponsor; and
    • 10 min presentation of the company/product/service at the beginning of the meeting.

    For more information on becoming a corporate sponsor for one of our chapter meetings, please click Here to download the form and email it to Chris Robson. Sponsorship is limited to one meeting per sponsor (January-November) within a calendar year, with the exception of speciality meetings or training sessions and events.
