Presentation Overview:
If you have any involvement with the hiring practices of your organization, this interactive educational session is for you! In this session you will learn some history of recruiting, and current employment/unemployment as well as other recruiting statistics for SE Minnesota. Various recruiting tactics and the recruiting “sweet spot” will also be addressed. Some thoughts on Retention vs Recruiting and a few of the implications of government regulation regarding recruiting practices will round out this presentation.
Objectives:
- Understand some interesting history of recruiting
- Appreciate some of the best practices in recruiting and retention
- Recognize some of the key hiring opportunities and practices in SE Minnesota
- Become familiar with some of the laws and regulatory guidance that impact recruiting efforts
Presenter:
Curt Wigham, Business Development Consultant at Express Employment Professionals
Curt joined the Express team in November 2003. He is responsible for recruiting candidates, client development, human resource consulting, and sales.
Prior to joining Express he was the Staffing/Safety Manager at Schmidt Printing in Byron. At Schmidt, he recruited professional, clerical, and industrial candidates for placement within the company. He also developed and managed the safety programs to ensure a safe work environment.
Curt earned his Business Management Degree from Winona State University in 1989.
