Anita Otterness, Leaning and Development Manager at NAMI will be presenting on the following:
Understanding Stigma and its role in keeping people from seeking help
Understanding the terms mental health and mental illness
Understand and identify signs, symptoms of declining mental health
Increase understanding of treatment options and their effectiveness
Understanding and utilizing these concepts in the workplace to create a culture of wellness and the use of accommodations
Resources to help the workplace reach these goals; such as EAP’s, HR, AskJan, ADA, AOTA, Voc. Rehab., etc.
Plus, two volunteers will share a 5 – 10 personal story and accommodations that work for them.
