SHARING HUMAN STORIES:
The Sharing of Human Stories, a presentation of Diversity Council, challenges stereotypes and biases. Individuals share stories about their lives where they were affected by bias, prejudice, and discrimination. The stories cover a range of topics from race and ethnicity to living with a disability to gender and sexuality and more. Storytellers do not represent a population or group, but rather put a human face to the impact of hate and bias.
Our trained presenters will share their stories in ten to fifteen minutes, allowing time for questions and dialog. The learning doesn’t have to end after the sessions – they should continue to brig human experiences with bias, prejudice, and discrimination into ongoing activities.
