Representatives from the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance (UI) Program will give a brief presentation about their Program. The main purpose of the visit, however, is to listen and learn about what is going on in our community. They look forward to hearing about your experiences and impressions with UI.

Nancy Vollertsen with Lindquist and Vennum will bring us up to date on the latest trends and issues facing the HR professionals in the workplace.

As the workforce becomes increasingly diverse, employers need the knowledge and tools to adapt to the realities of the workforce. During this session participants will gain knowledge about changing workforce demographics and gain knowledge of the benefits and barriers to an inclusive workplace culture. Participants will also learn how to improve job descriptions, enrich the interview process, and enhance workplace culture in order to appeal to more diverse job applicants and an increasingly diverse workforce.
